It’s a powerful, pure, dark fruited, full bodied and age-worthy Pinot. Seriously impressive. The nose is quite lifted with dark berries jostling with violets and lavender. There are also earthy, marzipan and chocolate are in there. The palate is quite rich with plenty of structure. Ripe and dark fruits carry through to the palate. Assertive acidity accentuates the tannins. Smoke, rich earth and twiggy scents. Ripe, punchy dark berry and macerated cherry fruit character. Washes the palate with sweet, clean earthy character, game meat, dark fruits. Chewy tannins and ripples of murky spice. Finishes warm and full. It’s a generous style, blocky, full, and many will love. Recommend decanting to allow the full array of flavour and aroma to show through.
