4 Stars – Yvonne Lorkin
Lithe and funky, this pinot noir (plumped up with a splash of petit verdot) might be pale in the glass, but it’s intense on the chops. Sourced (in classic, crazy, ‘Untitled’ fashion) from vineyards located in Marlborough and Auckland, it’s a blend that, while unconventional, has really spun my wheels. Spicy, cherry-drenched and boosted with blueberry, it’ll appeal to pinot lovers who live life on the edge, plus it’s perfect wine to whip out to your wine-nerd friends. Go large with tender, smoked paprika pork.
