Excellent – Mark Henderson, Otago Daily Times
Intriguing multi-vintage, multi-region, multi-variety wine with a nose of red fruits, malt biscuits, wild herbs and a tangy, resiny note. This nods its hat to Europe, it’s tanginess and juicy, crunchiness suggesting a Kiwi Beaujolais. Fresh, bright, vibrant, nicely balanced with an appealing bittersweet element before flowing to a long, cool, dry finish.

Medium bodied, with a leafy, complex nose, this was a delicious, juicy wine. What’s not to like?
4 stars – Raymond Chan
Dark ruby red colour, a little lighter on the rim. The palate has gently sweet and rich fruit aromas of raspberries and blackberries along with spicy fruit elements unfolding a hint of game. The fruit is rounded at the core. Medium bodied, the palate is rich and juicy with mouth filling flavours of blackberries with hints of raspberries and spices, subtle dark herbs emerge in the glass. The fruit has good depth and intensity and is supported by light grainy tannin extraction. The acidity lends the palate freshness, vitality and the wine carries a to a rich savoury fruited finish. This red blend features Syrah and Pinot Noir with spicy interest and good structure. Match with wild duck and pork over the next 3 years.
4 stars – Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Fruit expressive and gently lifted, the bouquet shows dark plum, ripe strawberry, mixed spice and nutmeg characters, followed by a succulent palate that is supple and smooth. It is medium-full and finely textured on the palate, delivering appealing spicy notes together with polished tannins, finishing pleasingly dry.

One thing is for sure, it is a very complex wine that won’t leave you indifferent. It is silky smooth with great elegance and yet understated power. We sure love it!
