Chardonnay is the most planted and widely distributed white grape in the world. It’s grown in almost every wine region around the globe.
And yet, Chardonnay seems to be the world’s most polarizing wine: you either love it or hate it. Furthermore, those who love Chardonnay generally prefer a particular style: either lean and fresh or rich and creamy.
What is your Chardonnay by the way?
– fresh cut pear, yellow apple, lime peel, grapefruit, blackboard chalk, and salty air;
– ripe pineapple, lemon curd, toffee, baked apple, Asian pear, and Crème Brûlée;
Thanks to the versatility of Chardonnay grapes, the wine can either be a perfect expression of the terroir or of the winemakers style.
I let my vineyard and grapes do the talking, so this Chardonnay is an expression of the flavours and tastes of our vineyard in 2018.
